High quality caliper is designed specifically for luthiers, with a deep 9″ (228mm) reach to accommodate an archtop guitar, mandolin, violin or viola.
Inch or metric models for archtop carving!
To carve an archtop instrument you need fast, precise measurements of critical top and back thicknesses. Our caliper does the job with just a flick of your thumb.
The dial indicator is accurate to .001″ (the metric model to 0.01mm) for thicknesses up to 1″ (25mm). It has an adjustable zero point, and can also be positioned for left-hand use. You can install the removable brass foot for convenient freestanding operation, or take your measurements freehand; the sturdy lightweight aluminum frame is easy to handle.
