This holder secures the pickup bobbin to the winder tight, so you’ll be sure it won’t shift or move during the winding process. The holder is adjustable and self-centering—keeping the pickup centered on the winder is essential for a more consistent and predictable sounding pickup. Every small variation in the winding can cause sonic differences.

Universal fit

What makes this bobbin holder special is that it accommodates nearly any style of pickup: humbuckers, Fender-style single coils, P-90s, blade pickups, and more. It’s easily adjustable to fit center hole, multi-hole, or blade-style bobbins. It also accommodates string spreads from 1″ to 2-3/8″ (25.4mm-60.3mm).

Schatten made this bobbin holder to fit (with simple modifications) on all their existing winders (even those made decades ago), no need to replace the one you already own. They also include detailed instructions, hardware, and a template for making this mod. If you have a Mojotone winder, no mods needed! The bobbin holder fits right on to the existing winder.
